Can’t Miss Attractions Near Your Victorville Hotel

Warming temperatures are a pleasant reminder that spring is coming. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the official first day of spring is Saturday, March 20. If you’re planning a spring trip to Victorville and staying at a Victorville hotel, here are three attractions to consider adding to your vacation itinerary.

The Mother Road

Stretching from Victorville to Barstow is an opportunity to travel back in time by driving along the historic Route 66, or as it is fondly referred to, the Mother Road. Many of the segments between these two cities are original, as many of the buildings you’ll encounter are. It is an excellent 38-mile experience that everyone staying at a Victorville hotel should try at least once in their lifetime.

Mojave Narrows Regional Park

Mojave Narrows Regional Park offers something for bird watchers, climbers, anglers, hikers, and families. Also provided are disc golf and equestrian trails. The park features lush plant growth, acres of waterways, cottonwood stands, willow trees, and more than 1,500 species of watchable wildlife. It is currently open on a limited scale due to the ongoing pandemic.

The High Desert Farmers Market

A state-certified farmers’ market, which began in July of 1992, features an assortment of fresh and affordable produce and products. You may also find dairy, meats, seafood, preserves, desserts, and more. The market has been temporarily relocated to the neighboring community of Apple Valley, a short 12-minute drive via CA-18. It is open every Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
